Don't know if anyone else has noticed this today.
Google has apparently introduced a new gmail web interface.
I spent a bit of time trying to log in, it kept going to
a seemingly useless (from a text browser viewpoint) page
of some 'iframe' links, all of which seemed to go to essentially
empty pages. (at least one had a lot of 'stuff' in the source code
view, but renders a blank page on several text browsers).
After a bit of frustration, I found that if I toggled to the
alternate html parser (Ctl-V) somewhere along the login process,
and if at the 'iframe' page did a refresh, it brought up the
page of interface options like old, which included the reliable
html-only interface choice.
Once clicked past this point, toggling back to the default html parser
so far doesn't seem to cause any problem.
Maybe this will save someone some trouble,
I'm intrested in any insights on this.
