Yeah, that sucked, unless you used a shell function to call it,
like this:
$ ggs foo bar

Although, also for political¹²⁴ reasons, I switched to:
function ddg {          # DuckDuckGo Search

① ³
② ³
③ best viewed with ‘*’ or an inline-graphics capable browser
④ DDG runs on FreeBSD ☺
