My apologies. You are quite correct. I was looking at my build
directories, rather than at the original source. I had forgotten, but it
seems that up through rel.1, I had been applying a patch for this on my
DOS and MingW builds, but I guess I dropped it after rel.1 in 2004. I
just noticed the problem again 2 1/2 years later. This explains why I
couldn't find the change listed in any of the patch files or the CHANGES
file.
Does putting a \r at the beginning of the message cause problems with
any of the operating systems supported by lynx?
