I am in the habit of mailing documents to myself instead of saving them to a
local file. You might like that option too, because information about the
URL is saved in the mail message in an X-URL header. Since you are using
Mutt, here are some settings you could put into your .muttrc
ignore *
unignore date: from: to: x-mailer x-face x-url cc user-agent
this will ensure that among others the X-URL header is shown in the message
display.
