My guess is that you haven't configured the options page to say that
you have a Chinese (presumably GB2312), Big5, or UTF-8 terminal (or you
don't have such a terminal, in which case, Lynx has no way of outputting
the Chinese, anyway).
On Windows XP, I presume that you will have to set the character encoding
assumed for non-Unicode programs.
