OpenBSD uses ncurses (and is pretty stable). FreeBSD does also, though it is
packaged in a manner intended to make it look like termcap (there are some
occasional fixes in that area).
NetBSD uses a rewritten version of the BSD curses which has been extended to
provide some of the X/Open (and also some of ncurses extensions) functionality.
Note from the cvs history that it is still under development, and afaik has
been built only on NetBSD.
