OK, plan B. Watch for a "REFRESH (0 sec)" -type link that ends
in something like ".../?nojs=1" (should be at the top of a page
that shows those non-functioning {BUTTON} things--inbox,
probably), and follow it. From the new page, go to options->mail
prefs->version, check the "Always use non-frame, non-js version"
option.
The js version doesn't give you that option, as you said, but the
REFRESH is intended to satisfy the "Use version appropriate to
current browser" choice. Except that lynx doesn't automatically
do the refresh, so you have to do it manually.
If this isn't too coherent, my excuse is that it's late in a long
day. Harvest season in East Washington ... :)
