lynx-dev download option

hallo, dear developer team,

using lynx for minimal linux work.
however, when downloading rpm the option D) (==>downlod)  works as i want.
but when enter TGZ files, for instance:

http://download.nvidia.com/XFree86_40/1.0-2880/NVIDIA_kernel1.0-2880.tar.gz

is loading from, and afterwhile the screen is running the CONTENT of 
tar.grz file.
bcause of hughe amount of data the konsole outpput didn`t get to end 
for save the download.
my question is:
is there an lynx output properties to prohibit download inview?
is there an option to download manual as an keystroke/linecommand with 
automaztiic download/quit the download?

the lynx is hot and newset: version  2.8.3
