And it always worked for me on Linux. I login to Yahoo! Mail
and Groups. Never tried with other OS's / Yahoo! services.
AFAIK you have to accept all cookies to be able to continue.
Here I'm prompted and then choose "Always":
.yahoo.com
Domain=.yahoo.com (Cookies always allowed.)
...
groups.yahoo.com
Domain=groups.yahoo.com (Cookies always allowed.)
...
