lynx-dev LYNX COMPILE ON VMS QUESTIONS

    I am having difficulty understanding the VMS compiling instructions for
VMS.  I downloaded the LYNX files from 
HTTP://WWW.OPENVMS.COMPAQ.COM/FREEWARE/LYNX/ .  I need to know which files
to compile, what compiler to
use, and where these files need to reside on my system.  We are running
OpenVMS V 6.2 - 1h3 on an Alpha.
