lynx-dev Why does this page look weird?

Simple question

check out:

Why is it formatted all strangely?  (Lines are going over 80 columns each and 
it ends
up looking sort of like I'm making this letter appear.

Ooh, I see I have to scroll left and right in links to view it properly..

But I'm confused.. I thought Lynx didn't pay attention to the width of
columns and such.
