yes, that's been the usual suggestion in the past.
i suspect people simply don't think of doing that.

given the volunteer anarchy which characterises lynx-dev,
there's never been a recommended method,
but that doesn't mean we couldn't have one:
it would be upto Bob Eisenberg -- listening? -- to set up
some sort of filter for overlarge contributions.

yes, they are standard in N America & apparently spreading in Europe.
i always see by-the-minute UK as incorrigibly stuck in the mud
-- i grew up there long ago -- , while Denmark competes with Canada
for the `World's Most Liveable Country' title,
but maybe there are a few tiny improvements Danes could lobby for (smile).
i have no problem here with big files,
but would support a sensible filtration policy.
