Your Windows should have the Temp environment variable set already, and
many things will not work properly if this variable is not set to a
directory that exists. On some systems it is set to c:\windows\temp .

The sample batch file that comes with 2.8.2 from fdisk.com sets lynx_temp
to a directory on your D: drive, which may not exist. If the batch file
does not set Lynx_temp, it will use Temp, which is what I do on some
systems. If you are using that batch file, you should make sure that it
points Lynx to a directory that exists and also has free space. To see
what environment variables are set up to before you run Lynx, start a DOS
prompt, then type "SET" and the Enter key. After you have viewed the
output, type "exit" and the enter key. and your DOS box will close.
