So what characters *can* it display?
And on what kind of machine is the lynx process running?
(I assume it's not the Apple//GS, but some machine you
connect to with dialup.)
Your chances to convince the rest of the Internet to change to
character handling according to your ideas are, relistically, very
close to zero (whether your ideas have merit or not). You may be
able to configure your setup (including how lynx is run) closer to
your needs. But it depends on what the problem is you are trying to
solve. You haven't stated that clearly. For example, do you want
human readable output or do you want something that can be further
processed by other programs.
