Bad Things can happen if you make lynx think the terminal/emulator/window
supports character sets that it doesn't support in reality.  In principle
this isn't much different from setting $TERM to a wrong value.

To recover, just quit lynx and restart.  If the harmful setting has been
already saved to disk from the 'O'ptions screen, delete the .lynxrc
file (or just edit it and remove the offending setting).
