I don't think so.

Many of the email-related pages seem to have undergone some subtle
revamping, none of which appear to be related to either security,
or privacy.

Probably just their normal evolutionary page improvements, and they
happened to do something that busted lynx access.  Obviously, they
didn't do any regression testing with lynx ... perhaps after this
snafu is fixed, they'll add it to their testing plan/procedures.
