990217 i started customising  userdefs.h  for 2-8-2dev.17
& the first diff i came across was:

we all have personal styles when writing e-mails,
but can we please try to keep Lynx documentation
in some accepted version of normal English?
in all  3  Anglophone countries i have lived in,
the plural of `suffix' is `suffixes'.
