When I use my mac and ntsa telnet emulator, I get a very pleasant color
interface that is a joy to use.
When however I use my sparc solaris 2.6 and the cde dtwm , I get an
annoying behavior. My default dtwm has a grey background. When I run
lynx, I get the colors I expect, but the rest of the 'background'
that lynx draws is white rather than the grey my terminal expects.
This is how I am configuring lynx.
$PWD/configure --prefix=/projects/intranet \
--libdir=/projects/intranet/lib/lynx \
--includedir=/projects/gnu/sparc-sun-solaris2.6/include \
--with-screen=ncurses \
--with-included-gettext \
--with-catgets \
--with-zlib \
--enable-extended-dtd \
--enable-externs \
--enable-forms-options \
--enable-nls \
--enable-nsl-fork \
--enable-partial \
--enable-persistent-cookies \
--enable-debug
Is there a flag I should be adding, or removing, so that the ncurses/lynx
that I am building doesn't try to reset the background of the screen
to white but rather leaves it the way I want it?
