lynx-dev editor for lynx w32

Hello, everyone !

I'm a new user of Lynx W32 as you will see and not a specialist in 
computing. I just manage to make things work by trial and error. 
Here is my problem: 
If I choose Edit (the Windows editor) as my editor in the options 
panel, it works all right for editing pages in Lynx.
But, when I can't  send mail with it. The headers of the message are 
OK but the body has disappeared and looks like this: <
Doesn't edit work as a message editor in Lynx;
The standard Lynx editor works for messages but I'd like to use 
something nicer ...
