if you enter  \  to see the HTML source,
you will find that the page uses JavaScript, which Lynx can't handle.
the URL you want is  http://www.columbia.edu/cu/law/#left ,
which gives you the welcome page; there's also  #right .

BTW you might try updating to 2-8-1 from  www.slcc.edu/lynx/release/ :
it has a number of improvements, tho' that's not your current problem.
