FWIW ...

A ^Y does do a suspend on FreeBSD platforms, when lynx is built using
ncurses (4.2+patches), unless you do something like "stty dsusp undef"
in your .cshrc file.

It doesn't do that (or require an stty fixup) when lynx is built with
slang (1.2.2).

I don't think there is such a thing as a ^6, unless what you meant was
a ^^ char (since "^" is usually on the 6-key, shifted).
