I suspect the reason for the _ is to indicate that the file is compressed. You wouldn't want to call the file xyz.htm , since that is not technically correct and some servers would not be able to indicate the compressed state. You can't call it xyz.htm.gz - some OS'es can only permit 3 characters as an extension. I myself vote for xyz.hgz for gzip'd version of the help file. -- Larry W.
