presumably you mean 2-7 & 2-8 ...

Lynx can't do background downloads while running interactively;
you can of course use command-line switches to grab things.
the usual recommendation is to use wget or htget from:
 ftp://gnjilux.cc.fer.hr/pub/unix/util/wget/  or
 www.ensta.fr/internet/unix/www/htget.html ;
there are other sites if those don't work.
