iirc, the 'ansi' colors in termcap.dat were kind of screwed up (someone
neglected to make it support 8 colors).  The corresponding stuff in
ncurses's emx.src is based on Ripoll's fixes, and then mine (to implement
color).  But you can run ncurses' "tic" program on either file if that's
what you want.
