One thing that I've wanted to do for years, but never got around to completing,
was documenting in lynx.man all the environment variables and their
uses.

The other thing was to check that all #define variables that the code
uses are discussed in configure/makefiles/doc somewhere so folk knew
they were there and their purpose.

I see no short term resolution to my time constraints - if someone's
looking for a short term contribution to lynx, which doesn't require
any coding effort, each of these seem worthy of consideration.
