It's not that no one knows, it's that Lynx won't do it.  It was
decided that saving a false user agent string was a Bad Thing for
copyright reasons (Netscape was threatening to sue anyone spoofing
their agent string at one time).  So Lynx doesn't save the user-agent
string; you can change that if you want for your own use, but I don't
think that will get rolled into the main code unless opinion on the
group has changed.
