LYNX-DEV startup problem

 hi alls 
I just downloaded lynx for the first time. I can see the local files by no 
access to the web serve. Even on out LAN. I can ping it. I can make telnet etc. 
Also with othere browser it working.
Here is the original error:

Alert!: Unable to connect to remote host.


lynx: Can't access startfile http://www.heidelbg.ibm.com/index.html

I tested it without file name and with other options also.
Any Idea.
BTW I am at the correct list or its only for lynx developers.
