What display character set do you have set? What is your actual display
character set?
Although even 2.7 knows about iso-8859-2, 2.7.2 has had a lot of work done
on character set support, so if you still can't get it to work, you should
install 2.7.2.
(Others can probably explain some more of the details of the 2.7 character
set support.)
