Since lots of people are now sensitive to changes in the pages
they have bookmarked, it would be good to make the page change at
U. Kansas at the time of the 2.8 announcement, to maximize the
stir that creates.

Separately, we should be weaning the keepers of "still used by
many pages around the internet" off that page anyway.  For those
page owners with any inclination to maintain their page, a copy
of the basic announce message would be of interest.  It is not
safe to assume they are monitoring news:...browsers.misc.  [Do I
hear 'spam'?]
