When I attempt to download with the "Save to disk" option,
I get a failure with the trace:
LYGetFile: getting
LYNXDOWNLOAD://Method=-1/File=/tmp/L264491TMP.html/SugFile=htt
p:--www.mklinux.apple.com-
HTParse:
aName:LYNXDOWNLOAD://Method=-1/File=/tmp/L264491TMP.html/SugFile=http:--
www.mklinux.apple.com- relatedName:
HTParse: result:Method=-1
command: /bin/cp /tmp/L264491TMP.html
'/home/pg/http:--www.mklinux.apple.com-'
sh: /usr/ucb/cp: not found
The trace output immediately before the "system" call says it's using
"/bin/cp", but the error message from "system" says it can't find
"/usr/ucb/cp". A similar error occurs when it tries to delete the
temporary file -- it can't find "/usr/ucb/rm".
The error occurs running Lynx 2.7.1 on a Solaris 2.5.1 system. Running
the same binary of Lynx on a SunOS 4.1.3 system, I get no error.
What's going on here? Is this some weirdness inflicted on me by
Solaris/Sun binary compatibility? Does Lynx front-end "system"
and modify the path?
Curiously,
gil
