I think Dired is useful on Unix; don't know about the other ports. You
will find most of the information you want in lynx.cfg and userdefs.h.
Basically hit a "file://localhost/" URL or `g'oto "." (for your $HOME
directory) or any file on your file system. That will automatically
put you in Dired mode. Pressing `f' should then present the menu, i.e.,
you need to be in Dired mode before the `f' command will work. Also
note that once in Dired mode, key mappings change, e.g., `u' is "upload",
not "back to previous page".

Lynx-dev survives on volunteers. Perhaps "users" should be spelt "you-sers".
