Yeah, I am aware of what this implies.

I watched the netstat output after every action in lynx, and it appears that
the bug triggers if you follow a link and invoke INTERRUPT before receiving
any data (if it takes ages for example and you decide to rather bookmark the
link and try later). lynx isn't closing the connection correctly in this case.

Any idea how this might get fixed?
