Fair enough, but to me, the best part about Java is the JDBC drivers..so
now I can access my databases from Java. If Lynx could support Java to the
extent required for JDBC, then I need not use PHP, perl CGI's etc to
provide text based web access for my users to the enterprise DB's.

I have written some simple standalone _applications_ in Java to
collect/update info from our Ingres DB..if I could Lynx them, it would
fit in much better with other apps that we have.
