You want to ensure that Windows doesn't have to use any long file
names with spaces in them to find lynx.cfg, it seems.
This is a FAQ, but I haven't linked to one of the many times
Wayne has explained it.
I believe that you can demonstrate that this is the problem by
creating a c:\short\ and putting all the Lynx stuff under there.
There are more elegant ways to do it, but...
It's there in the archives if you search for it.
