'makedepend' is a utility that is distributed with X windows (and is probably
on most Unix hosts).  It's a quick way to get accurate header dependencies
(for development purposes) by appending them to the end of the makefiles.

However, it's not a good idea to distribute those makefiles since they
contain system-specific dependencies.
