I can't speak for others, but in my case, I am not reluctant to
get a lot of mail, including spam, if necessary to keep lynx-dev posting
fully open. I am reluctant to discuss matters concerning Lynx outside of
address@hidden, so as to minimize the risk of it's development becoming
excessively fragmented.
The only private email I willingly accept and keep private (don't
CC replies to lynx-dev) is requests for the SSL hook replacement files.
Once those requests include all of the assurances I need so as not to
violate existing laws and patents, I save them, and email the uuencoded
replacement file set.
Also, I am not a "current Lynx developer", i.e., the fotemods
code I make available contains bug fixes and enhancments I've made in
the vanilla v2.7.1 release for my personal use, and installed here for
use by others at the WFBR. I also make it available to the current
Lynx developers, and anyone else who might be interested in it, in
compliance with the GNU GPL for Lynx.
