I am sure you are correct, and with my puny knowledge I have no intention
in arguing.  My point was that for the "clueless", a reasonable hardcoded
default can be a blessing.  With the physical terminals and telnet software
I have to work with, about all I could get to work was vt100.  By just
adding "-color" to the end of the command line for Lynx (built with slang),
voila, instant color.

Have pity I guess is what I'm saying, but let me ask a question whose
answer might be useful to others on the list.  Is there a document on
the web somewhere of the take-your-hand and guide-you-through-step-by-
step cookbook type that shows how to write custom terminfo descriptions?
The man documentation I've found to be too cryptic.
