too much - you probably should not assume any more than that it's
using device colon backslashes (but it's currently also using the same
thing for the flavor of curses). OS/2 (and WinNT) have additional
complications wrt case-sense of filenames.
for a better breakdown, try looking at vile (vi-like-emacs) which
has most of the appropriate categories broken down (e.g., pathname,
library support, etc). Lynx has a couple of extra twists (all in the
network libraries), that you'll run into.
The current version of vile is 7.1
