Way to define character set when doing newspost? LYNX-DEV |

Seldom do posting to news groups, but recently used the news posting
feature of Lynx for the first time. I was told that I was using
EUC when I should be using ISO-2022-JP; many people could not read
the post. My defaults in both lynx.cfg and .lynxrc are set to
`preferred document c(H)arset : ISO-2022-JP'. I have used mailto's
with no problem in the past, but admitedly quite some time ago.
It seems that the news reader/poster I've used until now (gn) auto-
matically sets the character set to the right one. I do have the
environment variable LANG set to japanese and setterm -x SJIS. Is
there any way to set the character set for newspost in Lynx?
This was Lynx Version 2.7.1ac-0.28, on SunOS 4.1.3-JL 1 sun4c,
compiled with gcc version 2.7.2, using slang0.99-38.
