Philip,
Some suggestions for your consideration.
1. Perhaps recount the attractions as a litany:
SysOps prefer it because
It is quick. Gets around the Web faster than you know who.
SiteMaintainers prefer it because
It is quick. In and out of edit mode in a flash.
It tells you what is happening. Test scripts with head requests, etc.
It implements advanced features you can't test with some browsers.
Blind Internauts prefer it because
It delivers the Web in a form screen readers can handle.
FreeNets and libraries prefer it because
You can configure it to support anonymous dial-up users.
All users like it because
It is a living, growing product, supported by people who care.
<clause about continual addition of features>
<clause about responsiveness to email questions>
2. Each paragraph should contain a link to a more extensive development
of the idea. I think you can find lynx-dev posts to back up the above
points, at the minimum.
There should be one of these links to Subir's "public Lynx" page
One should be to Lloyd's most recent summary of "Lynx use by blind."
-- Maybe we should ask Lloyd to maintain that page
somewhere, as opposed to simply posting it periodically
3. Page should end with a link or links --minimum of link back to
lynx.browser.org .
