And Klaus suggested that it might be a disk space problem. After 5
aborted downloads over a 19.2 modem (!) I discovered that Klaus was
absolutely correct: /tmp was running out of space.

My apologies for the red herring. CHECKMAIL:TRUE was the only thing I had
tweaked in lynx.cfg in the last couple of days, so it seemed like a good
candidate.

I must have been sitting in front of this keyboard for too long...time to
take in a movie or something.

SO...

1. would it be possible to display a message..Disk full...instead of a
blank screen, or

2. test for enough space at the point of hitting D for
download (most (all?) dowmloads seem to have "read xxx of yyy bytes", so
we could test that there is enough room for yyy bytes before starting the
d/l)

3. could we please return a message AFTER "save to disk" saying "save
completed OK" or something similar.

Sorry for the goof,again.
