LYNX-DEV warning about May 2 fotemods

This morning I downloaded the May 2 fotemods.zip and applied them to a
vanilla 2-7-1 directory.  I then configure and compiled the code on
my Sparc Solaris 2.4 using Sun's compiler and using ncurses 4.0.
The resulting lynx core dumps when I attempt to access
<URL: nntp://genetics.upenn.edu/perl.porters-gw/ >.

I am rebuilding it with -g so that I can track down at least one of the
problems.
