LYNX-DEV Compiling Lynx for Local Browsing without having a network protocol.

1) Is it Possible to compile an create a lynx executable without having any
   network protocol or WWW or WAIS header/source files. My aim is to use
   lynx only as a LOCAL system Browser.

2) If answer to 1) is yes, Where can I get info on how to compile such non
   network version of lynx. In particular compilation on a SCO UNIX System V/386

That is I want to compile a NON network version of lynx so as to be able to 
use it as a LOCAL browser.
