OK, I'll download anew and try a fresh ./configure and make.  Just to be
sure, I should download the highest `version' number from:
        http://www.slcc.edu/lynx/current/, correct?
Should it be necessary to set the $CPPFLAGS and $LIBS environment variables,
or should we first test without doing that?
