LYNX-DEV Images and Lynx 2-4-2

Hi. First, I'm fairly new to this, and trying to catch up in a hurry.
I've been using Lynx for about 2 years, but never bothered to try
learning much about it.
Anyway, to my question. Although I'm trying to get my system to upgrade
to 2.7, I'm not at all certain they'll do it. It's currently using 2.4.2.
Is there any "fix", preferably user-installable, to give me the
pseudo-link to images? And for that matter, how about the form submit
problems? I've run into a number of incorrectly nested forms, and unless
I use one of the remote servers, I'm out of luck.
I know this is going about things in a backward fashion, I'd much
rather have the current Lynx version, but thought I'd ask anyway.
Thanks for any help or suggestions.

     Steve
