I visit a site called http://www.visunet.ie/vip virtual irish pub. This
site uses form based chat with selection options to ignore people. (the
round buttons) that you can select only one at a time.

In 2.4, it works fine and all the radio buttons are cleared unless you
select them. However I get the bad html use -trace error message. This
is probably because the peoplr use html in there posts and lynx doesn't
  like it.

The "bad HTML" message is not because the chatters use HTML in
their submissions. If Lynx is refusing to act on the radio
buttons, and has given you this warning, there is something wrong
with the HTML of the basic Virtual Irish Pub page. [probably
long before you get to the radio button, BTW]

See what you can do to gently encourage the PubKeepers to
regularize their HTML, that is to say amend it so that it will
pass validation from one of the free validation services
available over the WWW.
