Re: LYNX-DEV 2-7 download problem

further testing reveals that the problem was with the  Makefile  i used
when compiling 2-6, which had become contaminated in some way somewhere
(here or out there): that problem could be solved only by editing  Makefile
to make the  cc  long line one continuous ASCII line in the file.
this time with 2-7 it compiles properly even when the  cc  step is
composed of  6  lines, the first  5  ending in  \ .

the other thread, on  r  with bookmarks, remains a puzzle -- and a 2-7 bug.
