It looks like a terminal/curses problem rather than with lynx..

Well, try generic terminal things, like setting your TERM variable to
something else than it already is, stty sane, stty rows 25 columns80,
changing the terminal emmulation to vt100 in your terminal program. Or,
try the slang version - I had better results with it than with the ncurses
one..
