It sounds like you haven't found the User's Guide.  The '?' key
or the 'H' key will get you to the main help page, from which
you can select the user's guide.

When you have done that, practice the g)o command by g)o-ing to

  http://lynx.browser.org/

and selecting the FAQ which also has a section -- not complete --
on help with downloading.  This page may be of some help if you
are still having trouble after reading the User's Guide.
