If I remember correctly, you need to make a symbolic link.
Check in /usr/include.
There should be a file called either curses.h or ncurses.h, and possibly
a sub dir called ncurses or curses.
if the either of the files exists, and the dir doesn't, make the dir
mkdir ncurses
cd to it, and type:
ln -s ../(n)curses.h curses.h
